My friend who lives in Leicester bought a brand new HDTV two months ago. It was having a three years warranty from the date of purchase. But the problem started just after 2 weeks of the purchase of the HDTV. The problem was with the sound of the HDTV. the mute function of the HDTV was not working. Whenever he tried to mute the HDTV the sound remains as it is. Its a function which people usually never check while purchasing a TV. Same thing happens with my friend and he too did not check it earlier and when one day he received a phone call while watching TV he muted the TV but its sound remains as it is. Firstly, he went to the shop where he bought it from but the shopkeeper denied it saying that it was functioning properly at the time of sale. My friend try to convince him but when he did not accept it he had to lodge a complaint at consumer advice bureau leicester. Finally, that shopkeeper had to admit that the problem was with the HDTV since its purchase and he had to replace it.
